In this work, Individuals, I chose origami paper boats, because it touches upon each of our childhood experiences, many times in our lives, we would create or interact with forms created out of paper, giving us each our own understanding and meaning to the material. Not only that, the choice of using paper boats signifies the journey through the sea of time that everyone takes in their lives. This boat that we all take will never be the same as the other, yet in this journey through the open sea, we will occasionally bump and meet others on the same journey, each in their own way, own colour, own speed. Yet through this individual journey we find ourselves coming together to form a community to support one another through this arduous journey called life.
